The Companion
Dan the man is a bit of a Marlborough legend, his infamous Thai Tuesdays live in the local folklore and his skills as a chef are second to none. With us since our first edition, Dan and his team are part of the Heartwood furniture and serve up some of the best food we’ve ever eaten, and not just at festivals, we mean anywhere, ever!
Housed inside a stunning Indian Tent with ornate linings, The Companion is our on site restaurant. Serving up food from around the World across the weekend, each day is themed with a smorgasbord of regional delights cooked by the kitchen wizard himself. By far and away the most compliments received at Heartwood are garnered by The Companion, so leave your Hula Hoops and Trail Mix at home, pull up a chair and let your taste buds do the talking!

The Tap
This smiling fellow is James, founder of The Tap.
Opening its doors in Marlborough’s Hughenden yard in May 2022, The Tap brought craft beer to the market town of Marlborough. A cosy bar, the rule here is that once the keg is done a new craft swoops in to take its place, providing a fluid (ahem) selection of craft beers and ciders from independent breweries from all over Britain and beyond.
Before The Tap was born James ran a business called Beer, There & Everywhere, a pop-up focusing on Eco Market events to offer refills in bottles and growlers to supply craft beer without any single use packaging. Our kind of guy!

The Starting Gate
Our on site cocktail bar, The Starting Gate is a lovingly restored and converted classic race horse trailer that serves as a base for Laura and David's passion for cocktails.
Heartwood co-founder Flo met Laura and David at The Wedding Fair in Birmingham when she was looking for some much needed dutch courage to get her through a “Wed Talk” - the stars aligned and their signature espresso martini did the trick. On day 3 the invitation to Heartwood was accepted and The Starting Gate was the perfect addition to the party. Serving delicious seasonal alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks all weekend.
